Most likely what you are experiencing is browser caching. All browsers download each web page that you view and store that version so that the next time you view the page, it loads more quickly. You can easily force your browser to load the current version by pressing CTRL + F5 on your keyboard. For more information, please see our "Why aren't my changes showing up?" post in the Tips and Tricks section.
Hold the SHIFT key down while you press ENTER on your keyboard.
Adding Analytics to your web site is easy. Once you have created a Google Analytics account, you can add the tracking code in QuantumCMS on the Site Configuration page under the Marketing tab. For a comprehensive tutorial, please see our "Adding Google Analytics to Your Site" post.
The content editor will attempt to honor the formatting that you added in Microsoft Word, but it may not translate properly in a web browser. Using the Paste from Word feature in the content editor should strip out most or all of the problematic formatting and leave you with a reasonably close version of your original content.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may also consider using the Paste as Plain Text option, which will remove all formatting. To learn more, see our "Pasting Options" post.
If your video is hosted on an external web site like Youtube.com, then you can simply copy the "Embed" code that Youtube provides and paste it into the source view in the content editor by clicking the Source button.
Alternatively, your web site may have a custom video player built into the page templates. See your Custom Documentation manual (found under the Help menu in QuantumCMS) for implementation instructions.
There are two ways that you can preview a page in QuantumCMS. 1) You can simply click the Preview tab on the applicable page or 2) you can click the Preview icon in the button bar to open the page in a new browser window.
If you need another person that is not a QuantumCMS user to review a new page, you can simply Publish the page (making sure it does not appear in the navigation or search results) and provide that person with the page address (URL).
The Home page of each web site is unique though many may rely on Linked Pages, Page Properties, and Descriptions for custom elements. Please refer to your Custom Documentation manual (found under the Help menu in QuantumCMS) for specialized instructions.
QuantumCMS is fully supported in Internet Explorer 6+ for Windows and Firefox 2+ for both Windows and Mac. With the release of QuantumCMS 4.1, we anticipate quality user experiences in other popular browsers such as Opera, Safari, and Google Chrome, but they are not officially supported at this time.
To add a navigation link to an external site such as Google.com, you will need to create a "Redirection" page. In the URI field, insert the web address for the external web site. For more information, see our Redirection Page tutorial.
You can create a short URL by selecting the Alias option from the Properties menu on the appropriate page. Click the Add button and insert the text that you would like to have replace the breadcrumb preceded by a "/" (such as "/Alias") into the Alias field. Upon saving, users will be able to access the page by navigating to Yoursite.com/Alias. For detailed instructions, please see our Aliases tutorial.
