Adding a Page
The document page type is the default page type and will be used for most pages of your web site.
Adding an alias to a page allows visitors to access that page from an additional address.
Administrators can register custom applications built for QuantumCMS. These applications can then be attached to an individual page by adding them through a page's Applications section.
Content Editor
The Content Editor in QuantumCMS contains a number of tools that are available in most word processing software, but there are some additional features that may be new to you. Below is a list and brief explanation of the available tools.
Custom Forms
QuantumCMS includes a tool called the Custom Form Builder that allows you to create simple response forms and surveys.
We have turned the Dashboard into a reporting tool, a gateway to access recent work, and a help center all rolled into one clean interface, and it's customizable to boot.
A Draft is an unpublished copy of a page in the system. You can manually save a page as a Draft to create a separate version of the page and, if desired, you can replace the current version with the Draft when you have completed edits.
When built into the template, Descriptions allow you to add an additional content section in your page.
File Manager
In QuantumCMS, you can upload files such as images, PDFs, and videos. Using the File Manager, you can view, upload, rename, move, and delete files.
File Pages
You can link directly to a file (such as a PDF, image, or movie) in your site’s navigation or in your search results by adding a File Page.
Linked Pages
When built into the template, Linked Pages allow you to display links to and content from other pages within the website.
Moving a Page
You can move pages from their current location to another location in the site. This tutorial depicts how to move many pages at once.
Navigation Tree
The Navigation Tree, located in the left hand pane, represents all pages within your web site and is similar to a site map. Here, you can manage your site’s navigation.
Page Details
Under the Details tab you may enter important data about the page you are authoring. Each of the labels contains helpful text. Hold your cursor over the label for tips on how to enter appropriate content.
Page History
Every time a page is saved, a copy is stored in QuantumCMS. Using the History screen, you can view previous versions, restore a previous version, or create a Draft from a previous version.
Page Properties
Page Properties may be used in a variety of ways by page templates or custom applications. Consult your custom documentation for properties associated with your custom features and applications.
Redirection Pages
The redirection page type allows you to create a page within your site that will move a user to another page -- either on your site or another site.
Using the Report Generator, you can view reports for recent page activity, custom form submissions, and commerce data (if applicable).
The Security screen can be used in two ways: 1) to manage which Public users can view a page on the front end or 2) to manage which Authoring users can edit the page in QuantumCMS.
Shared Pages
The shared page allows you to contain content from one page of your site within another page on your site. As a result, you only have to maintain content on the source page. You can also use a different template on a shared page than the page from which it is using content.
Site Details
Users who have permission to manage the web site have the ability to control properties at the site level. This tutorial gives you an overview of each of the fields within the details and marketing tabs of the site properties.
Site Properties
Site Properties may be used in a variety of ways by page templates or custom applications. Consult your custom documentation for properties associated with your custom features and applications.
Site-wide Linked Page
When built into the template, Site-wide Linked Pages allow you to display links to and content from other pages within the website.
Tips on Creating Effective Content
