Template B

Template B works well for monochrome sites as well as multi-color sites. It features fly-out navigation across the top of the page with navigation in the left column as you go into the site. The full width of the banner with the logo in the center allows you to include branding messages, images, textures, or even just a plain color on each page of the site.

The home page allows you to promote as much content as you wish using your own copy and imagery. These examples all show three items, but you may have none at all, or add as many as you wish — though you may find that past four it starts to look a little cramped. You also have control over the text and links in the footer, as well the site structure. With the ability to build web forms, use RSS feeds, and embed rich media, your site can be as robust as you like.

All of our templates are designed to work on more than just your desktop browser. When viewed on a tablet or a mobile phone, the site adapts to present the brand, navigation, footer, and all your content. It even includes a link at the top of the page to let users jump past the navigation and get right to your content — handy for sites that have a lot of pages and would otherwise require a good deal of scrolling/swiping.

Users may want to print content from your web site, whether it's a biography, contact information, or an article. Each of our templates has print styles built in, retaining your brand, a breadcrumb (to show users how to get to the page on the site), and your footer (with copyright and contact details). In addition, we embed a QR code on the page so a user with a QR code reader can scan the printed page and be sent directly to your web site.

Use Your Own Logo and Brand

You don't need to provide a logo or background image. Your site will simplyuse text for the logo and you can always add or change a logo and/or background image later. If you choose this template and want to use images in the banner, here are some notes on formatting the images:

Your logo image should be a 24-bit PNG with transparency enabled. The image dimensions should be no wider than 200 pixels to account for users on mobile devices.

The header background image can be a JPG, GIF or PNG file. The image will anchor itself to the top right corner of the header and will not tile (repeat). To fill the entire header with the background image the dimensions should be 960 pixels wide and should be at least the height of your logo plus 10 pixels.

If you are looking for inspiration, we have created some themes you can use for your site, or you can pick one and customize the colors.
