Algonquin Studios Launches Women's Services Mini-Site for Catholic Health System

Originally posted on: June 01, 2012

Catholic Health System, a world-class, non-profit health care system providing care to Western New Yorkers across a network of hospitals, primary care centers, and imaging centers, has launched a mini web site dedicated specifically to women’s services using Algonquin Studios’ web content management system, QuantumCMS.

The new site will serve as a comprehensive source of information and expert opinions tailored specifically to the unique needs of women, giving them access to the highest quality of care at every stage of life. Patients can find help on issues including cancer treatment, nutrition and weight loss, mental health, obstetrics and gynecology, pregnancy, and osteoporosis.

Using functionality both inherent to QuantumCMS and built specifically for Catholic Heath, site visitors can also access the a health library, conduct a physician search, or submit a confidential question for physician review, with answers being posted on Catholic Health's blog once a week. The mini-site will work in conjunction with a marketing campaign targeting services for women.

According to Mike Spencer, Algonquin’s Web Development Manager, “Catholic Health’s WomenCare mini-site is a key component of a targeted marketing initiative for women-specific services provided by the System’s facilities. The mini-site lives within Catholic Health’s main web site and is maintained via QuantumCMS, allowing content authors to easily pull in or link to information found throughout the site. The mini-site also incorporates features like banners, search, blog integration, and mobile styles that rely on functionality from the main site while it maintains a unique design and user experience all its own.”
