Roswell Park Cancer Institute Moves to QuantumCMS Version 3.0

Roswell Park Cancer Institute, one of the nation's leading comprehensice cancer centers, has upgraded its web site from QuantumCMS version 2.0 to QuantumCMS 3.0.

The update brings new features to users, including:

• syndicated content via an RSS feed from their latest press releases, allowing third-parties to share Roswell Park's current news;
• the ability to email a a friend from any page on the site with a link to that page,
• enhanced support search engine visibility throughout the site,
• a streamlined authoring interface making it easier for the team of 60 authors to enter and share content,
• enhanced site-wide search,
• the ability for Roswell Park staff to create and add new templates and custom applications.

The new site was designed by Roswell Park staff, and coded to match the XHTML 1.0 specification with a CSS-only table-free layout. QuantumCMS made the transition to this new layout model easy to perform with its ability to support multiple templates and its modular structure designed to allow developers to easily make modifications to the system.

In keeping with its role as a National Cancer Institute designated comprehensive cancer center, Roswell Park Cancer Institute offers the most effective means of diagnosis and treatment while addressing both the physical and emotional needs of the cancer patients it serves. The new web site makes an already nationally-recognized resource for cancer information even more effective at reaching its constituents.
